Educate and Plan
Wedding planning can be a daunting prospect, especially when there are so many events to plan that we don’t know much about.
We at Kismat Weddings have recognised the omission of cultural and religious aspects in a wedding due to a lack of understanding. We have therefore created a product that will put your mind at ease! Our planners include a detailed explanation of each event in Sikh and Hindu weddings; including where the tradition stems from and why we celebrate it.
Our ethos is to educate as many people as we can about our cultural and religious heritage for generations to come and we hope our wedding planners will do just that.
The Story
Our names are Madhavi and Simran! Co founders of Kismat Weddings. Both having recently planned our own weddings, we found that many aspects of our religious and cultural beliefs were being questioned by not only us, but our parents. Therefore we wanted to create an heirloom wedding planner to pass down to generations to come which explains every aspect of our ceremonies and the reasons for these celebrations.
